Dick Besser moved here 32 years ago when he got fed up with the snow in Minnesota where he was born and raised. He has been in the auto industry for the past 20 years and he is coming up on his 2nd year anniversary with Coos Bay Toyota in July. Dick has five grown children all of which are gown up and moved out, which means he has a bit of time on his hands. For the past 25 years he has filled his time with the Coos Bay Lions Club. He enjoys making stained glass and plays an occasional game of golf and bowls every week. Dick and his wife, Yvonne, were married while they were in Reno, NV for a bowling tournament 7 years ago, he didn’t win the tournament but he did take home some cash and a new wife. Dick likes to play the role of “Scrooge” walking around in a humbug frame of mind; however, he has a great sense of humor. Funny story, Dick doesn’t do outdoor decorations for the holidays. When he bought his house back in 2000 it came with three strands of Christmas lights. He invited his buddies from the Optimist Club to come celebrate his first lighting. They all came over and he served tea and crumpets, while they were all inside he grabbed those lights and threw them in the front yard. He called everyone outside and plugged them in, everyone applauded and laughed, and then he put the lights away, never to be seen again.

Rick Brown was born and raised in Coos Bay, he ventured off to Portland for a short while but felt it was to busy, and happily came back home where his parents and brothers reside. He enjoys being outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, or horseback riding are just a few of his favorite activities. He is working hard to get to the day he can run his own horse boarding facility and train horses full time, he is currently training one to go hunting. Rick and his wife Gloria have 5 children age 13 to 20. The oldest, Kyle, is away in the Marine Corps. Chris, his 2nd oldest, is a teacher for Special Ed High School students in Nevada. His middle child, Cody, is still living at home but will be joining the Army in a few months. Ronnie and Cheyenne are at home and attending Marshfield High School. Rick and his wife, Gloria went to Hawaii for a vacation last year and is looking forward to going again. We are proud to say we first employed Rick Brown when he was 19. He left for a short time and we are very happy to have him back.

Kelly was born in Quantico Virginia. His Father says it only cost $6.80 to have him. The Marines paid for the rest. Kelly was 1 ½ when his Father’s time I the service was up and they moved back to their home town of Coos Bay, where Kelly grew up. When he graduated high school he started working. Kelly married his wife and better half, Tina, 13 years ago in Reno, Nevada. Kelly is the very proud father of two wonderful and athletically talented young men; Dallas, 18, a senior at Marshfield High School and Dalton, 17, a junior at Marshfield. Kelly and Tina spend a lot of time traveling for the boys sporting events. Kelly enjoys bowling, golf, softball, volleyball, camping, and hunting deer and elk. His dream vacation is to return to Maui with his wife. Kelly’s favorite past time is spending time with his family and friends. He feels blessed to have such wonderful family and such great friends. Kelly has worked in auto sales for over 25 years. He owned and operated Main St. Auto Mart with his dad, and has worked at Coos Bay Toyota since December of 2009. Kelly just won the Toyota TCUV Bronze Sales Award. He treats every customer like a part of his extended family. Coos Bay Toyota appreciates Kelly’s work ethics and is thankful to have him working here.

Steve’s 25 years in the Coast Guard took him all over the world. Matter of fact the only continent he hasn’t been on is Africa. He has even been around the North Pole and the South Pole. Steve and his family settled in Coquille in 2004. He is a member of the Bible Baptist Church Coquille. Steve and his wife Karen have been married for 25 years; they have 5 children ages 14 to 20. Marcus, their oldest son, also works for Coos Bay Toyota in the parts department. Steve and his wife Karen have home schooled all their children. Steve joined Coos Bay Toyota Sales staff in 2007. Steve has become a Master Certified Sales Consultant from Toyota USA. Steve’s hard work has made him one of the few Master Certified in the Northwest Region. Coos Bay Toyota is truly blessed to have such a dedicated staff member. Steve is second to none in customer service.
