What is required to rent a car?
Here’s what’s required to rent a car in Oregon:

If I don’t have full coverage insurance, will it transfer to my rental?
We require drivers to have full coverage insurance, including comprehensive and collision. In this event, we’ll include a Collision Damage Waiver to your agreement that adds $19.95 per day to the cost of your rental.2
Are there any mileage restrictions on my rental?
Enjoy 300 miles per day, 2,100 miles per week for free (full seven days). If you go beyond this allotment, there’s a $0.35 per-mile charge.2
Does Coos Bay Toyota require a deposit for car rentals?
Yes. There is a minimum $200 deposit required to rent a car. After you return the vehicle, the charge will come out of the deposit being held and the balance will be released back into your account at that time. Most credit card companies take an average of two to three days to complete this transaction. We DO NOT accept prepaid credit cards or CASH.2
Is smoking allowed in my rental vehicle?
There is no smoking allowed in our rentals, as all vehicles are 100% smoke-free.
Is my rental car pet-friendly?
In order to keep our vehicles in the best condition for customers, we do not allow pets in our rental cars. Because the removal of pet hair can be difficult, there will be a $350 cleaning fee if there are any signs of a pet being in the vehicle or an excessive amount of pet hair.2

Can I return my rental late?
There is a $10 per-hour late fee applied to any late returns.2 Your return time is the same as your vehicle pick-up time.

Policies
AGE
You must be at least 21 years of age to rent a Toyota vehicle.
BUSINESS HOURS
Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, or by appointment. Saturday 9:00am to 05:00pm.
CANCELLATION
Cancellations must be made more than 24 hours before the date and time of reservation, or the customer will be subject to a cancellation fee of $50.00.
DRIVERS LICENSE
A valid license from the Renter`s state of residence or country of origin is required (i.e., must not be expired, must not have any restrictions).
GAS
There is a refueling charge of $10.75 per gallon if the vehicle is not returned full of fuel. Refueling Service charge takes into account both our direct and indirect costs of the fuel and maintaining our refueling infrastructure. The charge is intended to strongly motivate customers to save by refueling the car themselves. We don`t have an on-site refueling infrastructure, so we prefer that renters stop at a local station and refuel the car before returning it. However, customers can always choose not to refuel their rental prior to return, but we will then need to charge a premium for providing this refueling service.
INSURANCE
Proof of full coverage insurance that will transfer to the rental vehicle will be required at the time of rental.
MILEAGE
We allow 300 miles per day without additional fees. Any mileage over the allowance will be billed at $0.35 per mile.
ONE-WAY
At this time, the vehicle must be returned to Coos Bay Toyota dealership where it was rented. Check with your dealership about off-site pickup services.
PAYMENT
Payment in full is required at the time of rental. A security deposit of $500.00 will be put on hold. *Call for details. Payment may be made by Credit Card. Sorry, we do not accept checks.
PICKUP/DROP
We offer pickup and drop-off services from the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport for only $25.00. Please call for details.
REFUNDS-EARLY RETURNS
There are no refunds for early returns.
RULES
Coos Bay Toyota is committed to providing clean cars to every customer. When a vehicle is returned excessively dirty, it is our policy to charge the renter a cleaning fee of $350.00. In some cases, our customers are disabled and require service animals. We embrace and support our disabled customers, and generally we will waive the cleaning fee when the excessive dirt is primarily animal hair. If, however, the vehicle is returned with more than a tolerable amount of animal hair or other types of soil, the manager at the location may elect to impose a cleaning fee. In such cases, the rental agent will take photographs of the excessive dirt to support the extra cleaning charge.
SMOKING
We maintain a 100% smoke-free fleet, and any type of smoking (pipe, cigarette, cigar, vaping) is prohibited in all our vehicles. Just as renters are assessed a fee of $350.00 for cleaning the car`s interior for excessive stains, dirt or soiling attributable to the renter’s use, customers will be assessed an additional charge if the car smells of smoke when it is returned. TRAVELING OUTSIDE COUNTRY
Rent a Toyota vehicles are allowed in the continental United States, Alaska and Canada. Rent a Toyota vehicles are not covered in Mexico.
