May of 1982, Guy joined his brother Lee and became a partner in the new, fast growing, Coos Bay Toyota. Over the years he worked in every department. He started in Parts and Service, then moved on to Sales, Finance, and Management.

In 1988, Guy became President and General Manager. In 2012 he led the dealership in achieving the coveted Toyota President’s Award. Guy is also a driving force in our community involvement. He is a member of the local Rotary and serves on the board of the Oregon Auto Dealers Association.

Guy grew up in San Diego and served in the U. S. Army with duty in Germany and Korea. He met his lovely wife, Janet, when they were in grade school in San Diego. Years later, they met again at their Hoover High School reunion. The love was still there, and they married soon thereafter. Janet retired just a few years ago from her job as a Nurse Practitioner at Loma Linda University Hospital in California, where she worked in Pediatric Oncology. They currently enjoy spending more time together with their two Corgis.

Glen got his start with us in February 1995 as a sub-contractor. He was working for a company that helped dealerships setup new Finance & Insurance departments. In August of that same year we hired him as our Sales Manager. He has led our Sales team ever since.

He was born and raised in New York and was living in Phoenix, Arizona before moving to Coos Bay, Oregon in 1995.

Sheri Banes started her journey with Coos Bay Toyota in January of 2011. She shows empathy in her personality and she cares about the business and she cares about the customer which is one of the qualities about her that made us choose her to be our Customer Relations Manager. She also shows a natural ability for computer graphics and has interest in furthering her web design abilities.

Michelle has worked for Coos Bay Toyota since 2011. She began her career with us as a Phone Operator & Greeter. She impressed us with her many skills including and not limited to: effectively working with partner companies, being very detail-oriented, and effective event planning. She manages several community events for us throughout the year, including our annual Operation KidSafe Regional Child Safety Day. As our Inventory Manager she ensures clean and safe vehicles are available for our customers.

Her quick wit and sense of humor, coupled with her ability to hold others to account, has made her a highly valued employee. One of her favorite things about working here is the fun and lively atmosphere in the Sales Office.

Bill has been in the automotive industry for 27 years, and he's been a Sales Manager for 27 years. (Yes really!) He started at a dealership as a Finance Manager and within a few months was promoted to Sales Manager and has been one ever since.

He and his wife wanted to live on the Oregon Coast and were up in Newport when he got a call about the position here. He drove down and got the job same day and has been with us now for a little over a year now.

In his free time you may see him fishing along the Siuslaw river, or one of our local lakes.

Amanda Fitzlaff started with Coos Bay Toyota in 2013. She came from another auto dealership with a background in bookkeeping. She began as our Greeter and when the Business Manager position opened up - in that short time - we knew she was the right person for the job.

Amanda excels at being thorough and quick, getting all the finance and insurance paperwork completed quickly with 100% accuracy. She also educates each and every customer about what they are signing, and provides information on the various aftermarket programs and warranties available.

We look forward to working with Amanda for many years to come.

James parlayed his great passion for cars into a career here at Coos Bay Toyota as a Sales Associate, with us since 2015. James is "the man in the red shirt" in many of our satisfied customer posts on our Facebook page.

For James, family is the most important part of life, he is married to Kasie and they are raising three boys together. In 2016 he ran for, and is now serving on, the Coos Bay School Board.

Israel (Izzy) Perez joined our team February of 2012. Izzy was born in Mexico and moved to Coos County at the age of two. He graduated Marshfield High School in 2003. He has three beautiful children and is active in the community. As the youngest of four, Izzy was raised that family, hard work, and dedication are extremely important.

Steve joined Coos Bay Toyota's Sales staff in 2007 and is our internal go-to guy for technical questions on new vehicle features like navigation, Toyota Safety Sense™ and Entune™. Steve rapidly became a Master Certified Sales Consultant from Toyota USA and his continued hard work makes him one of the few Master Certified in our Northwest Region.

Steve is a U.S. Veteran, having served 25 years in the Coast Guard; 14 of those years on the high seas, and also served a tour in the Persian Gulf.

Steve is a dedicated family man, the proud father of 5 biological, and 3 adopted children that he and his wife initially fostered. His eldest son, Marcus, also works for Coos Bay Toyota in our Parts department.

Andy Post was born and raised in Coos Bay, Oregon and had the privilege of attending Coos Bay Schools, graduating from Marshfield High School in 1987. Once a Pirate, always a Pirate! He married his wife Laura in 1992 and they have two children together; Andrew and Tyler. Their boys are both graduates of Marshfield High School and are attending Linfield College. He was also blessed to have a daughter named Shirlee who graduated from North Bend High School and is now currently working in the medical field at Southern Coos Hospital in Bandon. Having grown up in this area, Andy has been very active in the community; serving as a school board member for Coos Bay schools, coach, and committee members for various non-profits. He has numerous relationships with many business owners due to his connections in past careers and is familiar with the school systems for both North Bend and Coos Bay. All of this local experience makes him well suited to meet the needs of his clients and he looks forward to helping people find their next vehicle.

Kristin Maxon moved to the Coos Bay area August of 2017 with her husband of 18+ years and adorable little boy just after her oldest son joined the Navy. She started with Coos Bay Toyota a few months later in January of 2018. She has a background with a multi-line power sports dealership which provided her with a plethora of knowledge that has easily been applied towards the automobile industry. She has a special way of understanding and explaining the difficult. Striving for continual personal improvement in business and at home she is always looking for ways to learn new things. Kristin enjoys spending time outdoors, taking photos, and teaching her youngest how to fish while kayaking. She has settled in well with our community and with our team here at Coos Bay Toyota.

Lori is a dedicated and passionate professional. In June of 2018 she was promoted to Service Manager.

We initially met Lori when she interned here in the summer of 2014 & 2015 while attending school to become a automotive technician through Toyota's T-TEN program. Lori began employment with us in January of 2016, she quickly became masterful in her job as a Service Adviser and provided training to her fellow Advisers.

In 2017 she was one of the top performing Service Advisers in the country for Toyota. We recognized her valued contribution to our Service dept. by awarding her Service Employee of 2017.

Lori is an ASE Certified Service Consulatant and is on the verge of attaining her ASE in Auto Electrical & A/C.

In 2006, Darren began his internship here at Coos Bay Toyota, and he completed his T-TEN training with us in 2007. He worked as Team Leader at the Wilsonville Toyota Scion dealership for over six years.

Darren is a Toyota Certified Master Diagnostic Technician, he holds nine ASE certifications, and has completed over 120 Toyota courses.

He is also a Navy veteran who served in the Iraq war. He, his wife, and children moved back to Coos Bay in May of 2017 to be closer to family. Promptly rejoining us as our second Master Technician, Darren has been a terrific addition to our team.

Tim has been with us for fifteen years, since he was twenty. He is originally from Eastern Oregon and we are happy that he and his family make Coos Bay their home.

He began as a Lot Attendant here and worked his way up. He has been our Parts Manager for over 6 years now and yet, he is still known internally as “the best Lube Tech we've ever had”. When employees talk about his work as a Lube Tech it is with reverence and admiration. This is mainly due to his caring and attention to detail. He treats everyone, fellow employees and customers alike, like family.

Tim chose Coos Bay Toyota because the company represents customer experience and customer care. And says our manufacturer helps him do his job because, “Toyota goes out of their way corporately to take care of warranties, to make sure the customer’s cost of ownership is down. They go out of their way to do everything and we just come alongside of that and try to do the same thing at a local level, the dealership level, and make it the best it can be. “

Marcus got his start here at Coos Bay Toyota in 2009 as a Lot Attendant, mainly working the Car Wash line. He was promoted in 2011 and moved over to the Parts Dept. He has been a Parts Assistant since 2011, working closely with his manager Tim and our technicians, fulfilling parts needs for repairs.

Marcus spends a lot of time with family, and enjoys playing games in his personal time. His father Steve, is one of our Sales Associates. Marcus married to his long-time girlfriend in February 2017 and is enjoying married life.
